Former Disney CEO Bob Iger recently confirmed that Disney made a bid to purchase the James Bond franchise when it was available in 2022. Thankfully, that particular mission failed. I say “thankfully” because while I am not exactly celebrating the Amazon MGM era either, I do think Disney would’ve been an even more questionable fit…

I forgot that in Goldfinger he unexpectedly lands there aboard Goldfinger’s Lockheed JetStar with Pussy Galore after getting knocked out with a tranquilizer gun.  Almost as unexpected for Bond to set foot in the state of Kentucky of all places.
