Okay, so Deadline apparently has the scoop that the next round of auditions for the role of James Bond in Bond 26 and beyond is set for August. It’s certainly a welcomed bit of news for fans eager to see production move forward and finally get a clearer picture of the next era of 007.
But it also raises the question of why the producers and Amazon are so determined to keep every detail surrounding Bond 26 locked away. I understand there is a balance between building anticipation and oversharing every step of the process, but right now the consistent dead air feels like a missed opportunity.
A little mystery is great. Total radio silence is another story. Even a quarterly update from Amazon MGM would help keep the Bond conversation moving while we wait for the next mission to begin.
