Switch the bloody machine off!

I absolutely love Timothy Dalton’s accent in both of his Bond movies, especially the way he emphasizes “bloody” in this Licence To Kill moment. After watching Dario get fed into the cocaine grinder, Pam Bouvier asking if Bond is alright is obviously the last thing on Bond’s mind.

The panic and desperation in Dalton’s delivery sounds raw and believable. It’s an urgent moment where Bond’s composure cracks, and Dalton sells every second of it with a level of intensity that feels uniquely his own. Oh, how I wish Dalton could’ve had a third!

Sure, it was missing the normal Bond movie oomph, but Never Say Never Again had a great 80s theme and great pre-title (or really, I guess title?) sequence.
