After more than 30 years as a James Bond fan, I’ve grown increasingly tired of rankings, tournaments, and declarations of the “best ever.” They can be fun, but they’re also fleeting. These days, I prefer discussing my Bond movie favorites rather than absolutes. A few rewatches are often enough to change supposedly definitive opinion on almost any Bond movie or topic.

Believe it or not, I’ve currently got a soft spot for 1967’s Casino Royale (gasp!).
