Then, in a sharp reversal, Blofeld spares her and executes Kronsteen instead. It’s a puzzling turnaround, but it seems like an intense display of Blofeld’s control and dominance. Instead of siding with a calm Kronsteen and his reasonable explanation for the mission failure, Blofeld opts to spare a visibly terrified Klebb, obviously renewing her loyalty and resolve through fear, rather than trust.
