Janus should’ve gotten the S.P.E.C.T.R.E. treatment

I guess it just wasn’t in the cards at the time of Pierce Brosnan’s first Bond movie, GoldenEye, but in some alternate universe, Trevelyan’s Janus Syndicate would’ve played perfectly as a S.P.E.C.T.R.E.-like organization pitted against Bond over multiple movies. It’d be a compelling backdrop since Trevelyan is a distorted reflection of Bond and a former 00 who knows the system, the tradecraft, and the man himself. Sean Bean would’ve thrived, and I for one would’ve loved to see his character gain even more power.

Sure, Jaws gets all the glory and had two movie appearances.  But there was something about Oddjob that fit perfectly in Goldfinger.  The ruthless car murder, smashed golf ball, razor blade bowler hat, the muteness – it all contributed to an awesome character!
