Surely only TimeFor007.com is the only James Bond site in 2026 that references the damn L’Americain mouse from Spectre (2015).
So, welcome, and let’s get the obvious question out of the way about this scene: would Bond have ever found Mr. White’s hidden surveillance room at the L’Americain hotel in Tangier if the movie’s second topolino had not shown him the way? He seems genuinely out of ideas until the mouse escapes his tongue-in-cheek gunpoint interrogation and disappears through a hole that exposes the fake wall.
Mr. White’s breadcrumbs successfully led his daughter Madeleine Swann and Bond to his hidden Spetre evidence cache room and is a significant discovery, yet it raises suspicion. If the entrance was concealed behind a fake wall, how exactly was Mr. White accessing then room all those years? Was there another hidden entrance somewhere else in the hotel that Bond never discovered? Or is this simply one of those movie conveniences that’s easier to enjoy than explain?
