In Octopussy, Bond’s desperate escape from Kamal Khan’s hunting party ends with him scrambling aboard a tourist boat. When asked if he’s with the group, his exhausted reply above is a perfectly timed quip. The scene is also a fun excuse for one of producer Michael G. Wilson’s trademark cameos as one of the tourists helping Bond aboard the boat.
My only gripe of the scene is the convenience of it all. It’s quite a coincidence that a sightseeing boat would be passing the compound just minutes after Bond fled, and you’d think the passengers might be a little more concerned after hearing a barrage of gunfire and Bond’s unforgettable Tarzan yell!
