Should Bond 26 villain be a woman?

I never really considered it before, but it’d be interesting if the Bond 26 team threw us a curveball and casted a female villain. In my mind, I’ve always thought of an upcoming Bond 26 villain as a man for some reason, but choosing a woman instead could be a fascinating choice. A powerful female villain (especially a femme fatale) presents a different and challenging dynamic for Bond, for obvious reasons.

In the end, I just hope Bond 26 avoids outsmarting itself by keeping it simple. If Bond 26 is set in the modern day, for example, a lead female villain would be a perfect fit as an infamous international madam sex trafficker or fentanyl kingpin, while a Bond reboot female villain would need to be a more nuanced assassin or terrorist.

In either scenario, she needs to be a genuinely bad person to sell the villainy part of the equation. Hands off, Bond, she’s not for you!

They really can’t be serious about this can they?  The wait between movies has been torturous in modern times, and that big of a delay in the transition to an Amazon Bond would be brutal – and absolutely unforgivable if that cadence wasn’t at least shortened for Bond 27 and beyond.
