Talk about a random discovery: a previously unreleased The World Is Not Enough title track demo by Coldplay may finally see the light of day.

And although I generally like Coldplay’s music, I’m instantly skeptical of an acoustic Bond theme. A Bond theme needs at least one dramatic orchestral string instrument that instantly screams secret agent. I’d give it a listen if it’s released obviously, but I don’t have high hopes.

Let this serve as a reminder that Garbage’s original theme is actually a fantastic Bond song. They perfected the formula of a good 007 theme by blending classic Bond sounds of the past with their own unique style. Despite its late 1990s production, it feels surprisingly timeless and could easily fit as a 1960s Bond theme, in my opinion.
