I remember a lot of hype for the parkour sequence of Casino Royale, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it deliver. And it was mostly because of Sebastien Foucan’s role as Mollaka, defying gravity in the foot chase escape sequence in Madagascar. And although Daniel Craig held his own for the most part, there are moments where you can tell that Craig struggled or was aided with a padded landing while Foucan glided through all of the obstacles with ease.

But I will say that my favorite parkour move of Foucan’s was when he lurched his body almost to the ceiling to avoid a wall partition and Craig followed with his best Kool-Aid man impression busting through the wall below. The back-and-forth of the parkour foot chase was a compelling introduction to Craig’s stunt work and we have Mollaka to thank for that.
