James Bond and Fatima Blush throw sexual innuendos at each other when they first meet in Never Say Never Again and eventually sleep together on a scuba diving boat. This line and a few others like it are perfect examples of this unofficial James Bond movie essentially trying too hard to mimic an official James Bond movie and 007’s knack with women.
And although Bond balks at the classic full last name, first name last name introduction (likely because of legal reasons for the filming of this movie) and just goes with “James,” it’s still apparent that they wanted to capture at least some of the traditional James Bond movie flair. It borders on annoying at times, but as with all James Bond movies, this one has its bright spots. I think it would’ve been more interesting to pursue a completely different atmosphere for an unofficial Bond movie rather than try to replicate the official movies at all.
