In For Your Eyes Only, Bond slips into a flower shop under the pretense of buying a dozen lilies, carefully avoiding Melina Havelock’s notice as he tails her.

The moment escalates when Melina is confronted by a group of bikers and Bond intervenes, sending one of them crashing through the flower shop’s front window. Without missing a beat, Bond turns back to the florist and delivers the line in question, treating the violent interruption as a minor inconvenience to his purchase.

The joke works because of Bond’s casual delivery, but there’s no real indication that the biker’s injuries are fatal. I guess the fact that it doesn’t matter is the point. It’s a hilarious line!
