Perfect Bond 26 theme artist: Oasis

In the wake of Oasis’ wildly successful revival tour, the prospect of the British rock icons headlining the Bond 26 theme feels both timely and inspired.  At this point, Oasis has effectively crossed into the realm of modern classic rock, which aligns perfectly with my preference of avoiding a current artist as the Bond 26 performer.

Musically, their unique sound and signature melodies would inject bold energy into the Bond tradition.  Oasis’ sound is obviously very distinct and could translate into a theme that feels unmistakably Bondian while steering clear of the brooding electro-pop aesthetic that has dominated recent entries.

A Bond theme with Oasis’ imprint reminds me of Paul McCartney and Wings’ Live And Let Die entry: one that honors the franchise’s legacy while giving it a sharp, confident rock edge.
