Thunderball (1965)

I must be six inches taller

In Thunderball, despite having just put his spine through the wringer, Bond somehow keeps his sense of humor intact. The “traction table” scene is a worst nightmare for physical therapy patients, and lends the question why the device has a setting for “pull spine apart violently” in the first place. Naturally, 007 walks it off like a champ and immediately turns the situation to his advantage, charming (harassing?) his therapist, Patricia Fearing, into a steamy recovery session of a very different kind.
