James Bond and Pussy Galore’s sky-high standoff in Goldfinger is one of the most memorable 007–Bond girl exchanges in the entire series. He exides  trademark confidence, while she meets him with cool defiance and absolutely no interest in playing the damsel.  Even at a glaring disadvantage, Bond refuses to show weakness and casually lectures her on her revolver’s caliber and the dangers of redecorating the cockpit with bullet holes.

As for those long circulating rumors about Pussy Galore’s sexuality, well, nothing in the film explicitly confirms them.  But her resistance to Bond’s usual flirtatious artillery suggests she lives up to her proud declaration that she is “immune” to his charm.  It’s truly a rare and fleeting moment in the Bond canon where 007’s ego encounters a no-fly zone.
