Thunderball (1965)

No way Domino could hold onto Bond

At the end of Thunderball, Bond and Domino are rescued by a passing plane intercepting their floating buoy attached to Bond’s wetsuit.  It is going wayyy to fast to actually be a realistic method of escape.  One of two things would actually happen: Bond would be decapitated from the force, or Domino would have no chance in holding onto Bond as he ascends – the plane’s speed is just too great.  I guess they wanted to go for a dramatic exit, but I think just having them “relax” and wait to be rescued in the raft would have been a better ending.
