When these rumors cropped up it was an interesting proposal, but I don’t think it’d be worth it, regardless of novel quality (ie. Colonel Sun, Forever And A Day, etc). Any modern Bond novel adaptation would instantly be scrutinized against Ian Fleming’s novels and Bond movies, and there’s no way it’d hold a candle to them. I can already here the calls that “the book was better than the movie.”
Perhaps Bond 26 will be a fully adapted old Fleming novel or bits and pieces from one again? Highly unlikely now that Villeneuve and Knight are involved. Here’s to an original movie!
