Never Say Never Again – The poor horse!

The horse chase/escape scene from Never Say Never Again with Bond and Domino got off to a great start, but inexplicably they had the horse jump off a building into the water.  Why do this?  Why risk a falling horse alongside yourselves as you fall into water?  From an aesthetic standpoint, a poorly CGI’ed falling horse is a bad visual.

Luckily, they showed the horse swimming that it “survived,” but its dramatic involvement in the scene seemed forced and unnecessary.
