No extravagant, complicated plots.  No back-stabbings or double agents.  I don’t really even need an exotic location.

How about a domestic (UK) threat with a straightforward, cut and dry problem?  Like kidnapping or extortion.  Maybe money laundering or some other exploitation?  No nukes, no missing spacecraft- and please, for the love of god, no computer hacking!
