Those seven words have been rattling around in my head ever since No Time To Die brought Daniel Craig’s tenure to a close, just as they did after Pierce Brosnan signed off with Die Another Day. I’m not going to fuel the rumor mill here because there’s plenty of time for that as speculation inevitably kicks into overdrive.

For now, I’m more interested in the weight of the question itself for Bond fans. Surely the upcoming announcement will be one of the most exciting moments in recent Bond history, but it’ll no doubt also comes with a healthy dose of anxiety. These are exciting times and they are terrifying times for James Bond fans. So far, the casting choices have worked out pretty well, but what happens if this time they get it wrong? Even worse, what if everyone else loves the new Bond while I find myself completely unconvinced by the performance?
