Jeffrey Wright’s portrayal of Felix Leiter throughout the Daniel Craig era remains one of my favorite supporting performances. Although I dislike his fate in No Time To Die just as much as Bond’s, their reunion at the Jamaican club is a highlight. Bond’s reluctance to embark on a new mission with Leiter is obvious the moment Leiter approaches him, perfectly captured by the line above.

Even so, it only takes a few drinks and some easy conversation before the old partnership starts feeling natural again. Although Bond ultimately defers (for now), his respect for his brother from Langley is perfectly apparent. Their rapport makes it easy to believe they have shared countless off-screen adventures over the years. And although short, the scene is one of the rare moments in No Time To Die where the movie slows down and simply lets its characters enjoy each other.
