I can’t mention Jack Wade’s airplane farewell in the previous post without giving equal credit to this equally funny line from the same scene. As the HALO instructor explains that Bond will either rely on oxygen during a five mile free fall or die of asphyxiation, Wade instantly fires back with a swipe at his ex. And it’s not the first time he’s mentioned his past marriages to Bond. He first mentions his third wife, Muffy, during his introduction in GoldenEye, when Bond confirms Wade’s identifying rose tattoo bearing her name on Wade’s hip.

Even Bond can’t help but crack a smile before stepping into likely one of the most dangerous jumps of his career. No doubt Jimbo had a laugh on the way down!
