Leave it to the CIA’s Jack Wade to inject a little humor at exactly the right moment. As Bond steps into his HALO jump to investigate the wreck of the HMS Devonshire, Wade casually remarks the above line, which interrupts an otherwise tense and dangerous sequence with perfect comic timing. Just seconds earlier, Wade and his cohorts bickering over territorial waters, international law, and the diplomatic consequences of Bond’s mission. But Wade seems far more amused by Bond’s abrupt exit than the political fallout they were discussing.
