Where is Fekkesh? With the pharaohs.

This Bond quip from The Spy Who Loved Me showcases Roger Moore’s wit. Bond and Anya arrive at the pyramids hoping to question Fekkesh, only to find that Jaws has already ensured he’ll never talk. Moore’s dry response perfect because of the setting, obviously. Fekkesh meets his end among Egypt’s ancient tombs, so Bond’s reference to the pharaohs is the perfect epitaph. It reminds me of Connery’s death euphemism for Goldfinger, when he says he’s “playing his golden harp.”

I’m still not sure why they added them to the casino scene.  Not only were the dragon graphics not that great, it just made no sense to have a dangerous animal in an open air casino.  Quite the addition to the ambience…
