Eva Green looked older than she was

It might be a controversial take, but while Eva Green looked incredible in Casino Royale, I think she carried a more mature presence than her actual age of 25 or 26 at the time. That’s not a criticism of her appearance. In fact, her striking look, chemistry with Craig, and unforgettable purple dress helped cement her status as an iconic Bond girl.

However, I wonder if a softer, more youthful look might have made Vesper’s role as the love Bond lost feel even more tragic. Green brought confidence and sophistication to the part, but seeing a slightly “cuter” contrast to Bond could have created a different and maybe better emotional dynamic. In No Time To Die, it’s always striking to see Vesper’s grave and her birth (1983) and death year (2006). Vesper never “felt” like an early-twenty year old and also acted way too mature for her age…
