A View To A Kill delivers one of those wonderfully random Bond moments when a police officer dismisses Bond’s famous introduction with the above line plus “And you’re still under arrest” after Zorin frames him for murder. It feels both completely out of place but oddly fitting considering the absurdity of the following scene where Bond steals a fire engine and leads police on an exaggerated chase through San Francisco. It’s easily one of the campiest sequences in the movie and is the perfect, strange blend of humor and chaos that defines the movie as a whole.

So yeah. Now you know that the comic detective Dick Tracy gets a mention in the middle of a 007 adventure.

In Spectre, Bond’s refusal of Q’s prolytic digestive enzyme shake order at Madeleine Swann’s retreat is nothing short of hilarious. Bond’s response, followed by his perfectly timed “cut out the middle man” remark, got some of the biggest laughs from my viewing audience, compared to any other Craig era Bond movie. Bond can only give so much…and the world is not enough!  This title really grew on me…when released I thought it was such a cop out, but looking back it was a great, almost poetic title for a Bond movie.
