In Quantum Of Solace, a single injury to Dominic Greene courtesy of James Bond stands out as particularly wince-inducing. During the fire/fight sequence, Greene attempts to subdue Bond with what looks like a firefighter axe. Bond deflects one of Greene’s axe swings, which quickly inserts itself into one of the most uncomfortable places ever, directly into his left foot. And not just superficially into the top or the side of his shoe, but directly in between his toes and through a good depth of his first or second metatarsal. Absolute ouch!

In Diamonds Are Forever, Bond delivers this juvenile insult to Tiffany Case after her ill-timed tape switch derails Bond’s sabotage of Blofeld’s control codes cassette tape aboard Blofeld’s oil rig.
