The question of whether Bond 26 should revert to a more escapist affair or continue on with Craig’s more realistic slant to the character is difficult to answer. On one hand, I’m ready for the next Bond and the next movie to let loose and be a little more escapist than Craig, with more humor and a lighter tone. However, I also think that clashes with my opinion on realism for Bond 26, in that I think that a reboot of the character and a new actor as 007 would benefit at the outset from having a clear backstory, an ascension through the ranks and a worthwhile but difficult first mission. I’m torn.
