Ok, so there’s a good chance that Bond 26 will be an origin story, or at least a glimpse into the start of Bond’s career out of Eton. This is something that I’m excited for, but pushing too far into his origins, including more familial-related issues as seen with the Blofeld retcon in Spectre is a big no from me. They need to keep this aspect of his life simple, in that he was an orphan detached from any loved ones that could jeopardize the reason for his professional ruthlessness.

And although I enjoyed Craig’s tenure as Bond, his character showed a little too much vulnerability, especially with his long term relationships with Vesper and Madeleine and his eyeroll-inducing fatherhood storyline. I’m excited to see Bond as a somber, transactional, womanizing secret agent in Bond 26. At least for the first movie with a new Bond actor, I want 007 to be cold.
