The Aston Martin Vanquish in Die Another Day remains one of my favorite James Bond cars. Its sleek lines and commanding presence make it instantly memorable and, in many ways, quintessential Bond. Even now it stands out as one of the most visually striking vehicles driven by 007.
That admiration persists despite the car being equipped with one of the most extravagant and “out there” gadgets. The car’s adaptive camouflage system pushed the boundaries of plausibility and felt closer to science fiction than traditional Bond gadgetry. Regardless of that, it gave us one of the great Q/Bond car introduction scenes with Brosnan and Cleese riffing off each other perfectly!
If nothing else, it set a high standard. Here’s hoping Bond 26 introduces a car that feels just as exhilarating!
