At this point, it’s hard to imagine the next 007 being anyone other than Jacob Elordi. After weeks of rumors, reports of an audition, and even talk of a potential offer, his casting feels less speculative and more inevitable with each passing day. A sudden pivot to another name such as Callum Turner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, or Theo James would feel completely jarring at this point.
Elordi would be a bold choice as easily the most imposing Bond in history. I have to admit it was difficult to picture him as 007 at first, but as time goes on, I can see it: clean cut, sharp tuxedo, coolly staring across a baccarat table in a smoky casino, all 6 foot 5 of him with woman no doubt fawning around the table.
So much for the “unknown actor” rumors I guess. But if the goal is to give Bond a bold reintroduction, Elordi may not just be a safe bet but the right choice.
