Bond’s brief barroom encounter with CIA agent Felix Leiter in Quantum of Solace cements Jeffrey Wright as the perfect American counterpart to Daniel Craig’s brooding Bond.  It’s unclear whether Felix actually brought backup to that meeting or if the local corruption was so rampant that it was inevitable.  Either way, his calm demeanor and sharp quips give the scene a wry edge.  When Bond delivers this curt, no-nonsense response, it’s clear the two men understand each other perfectly.  Their exchange is short, tense, and effortlessly cool.
