Bond 26 locations: revisit or somewhere new?

For the longest time, I’ve been firmly in favor of Bond movies venturing into new and exotic locations, giving each adventure its own sense of discovery and seemingly expanding Bond’s proverbial horizons. But in the years since No Time To Die, I’ve found myself warming to the idea of Bond revisiting some of the locations that have already appeared in previous movies. Why rehash a location we’ve already seen? For starters, so much has changed since the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s that returning to an old Bond location could offer a fascinating contrast between then and now and also give filmmakers the opportunity to deliberately echo an iconic scene or setting as a nostalgic nod to longtime Bond fans.

New York, for example, looked dramatically different in Live And Let Die, and seeing Bond navigate the city today could make for a far more compelling storyline, similar to Paris and A View To A Kill. That said, not every return trip sounds appealing, because I have absolutely no interest in sending Bond back to a modern-day Las Vegas from Diamonds Are Forever or a lackluster New Orleans from Live And Let Die.

My “new” location pick would be Barcelona, while my “revisit” pick would be Japan (which Bond hasn’t visited since You Only Live Twice in 1967), since pairing a new 007 actor with modern-day Tokyo would offer a fascinating blend of Bond history and a fresh start.

Despite her prominent role in the operation, Fiona is never identified by a SPECTRE number, unlike Largo, who is Number 2, and Blofeld, Number…

I’m not sure what this lyric means from The Man With The Golden Gun theme.  Why exactly is love be required?  Does it have something to do with Scaramanga and Andrea Anders?  Seems like a throwaway…
