As I’ve said before on the site, I’m growing tired of James Bond rankings. The “something something” can be anything from opening title sequences to cars, and they rarely grab my attention anymore.

I’ve read enough lists over the years to know exactly what to expect. Some I agree with, some I don’t, and the worst are the obvious clickbait rankings that seem designed to provoke rather than persuade.

I’d much rather read someone explain why a particular movie, scene, or performance satisfies rather than see it assigned a number on yet another list. To each his own of course, but instead I’d rather read a thoughtful perspective rather than read another countdown. That’s the kind of Bond discussions that pique my interest.
