I’d just like to point out how satisfying it was for Goldfinger’s bomb to stop at “007” upon my first watch. It’s such a small moment but really drew me in. This, despite Bond’s ineffectiveness at defusing the bomb, which was actually done by a scientist and humbled Bond a bit. The bomb’s stoppage and its specific time just felt doubly triumphant.

In the end, the 007 code name is just awesome and no other characters really compare. You know the name, you know the number, as they say.
