Shocking. Positively shocking.

This classic line from Goldfinger is peak Sean Connery, delivered with effortless authority and confidence. In this case, only Timothy Dalton or Daniel Craig seems like he could land this with similar impact. For the others, the line feels slightly out of step with their personas and a little too serious.

But I’ve always loved this “shocking” scene, since Bond finds himself at a serious disadvantage in a desperate scuffle, only for him to think outside of the box perfectly to overpower his adversary. A fan in the tub will get them every time. The line is the cherry on top.
