It’s not perfected yet

In Goldfinger, Q barely misses a beat when he catches James Bond eyeing a rather unassuming trench coat that doubles as body armor. The above line is delivered with typical Q Branch understatement, even as live rounds are being fired across the lab like it’s just another Tuesday.

Across other movies, Bond and body armor have never quite become regular partners, which is curious given how often 007 finds himself in the line of fire. A modern take from Q Branch could have some fun innovating. If Q Branch can develop blood nanotechnology, surely they’re up to the task of modern body armor?
