This line from Dr. No shows a quick witted James Bond. Delivered with a polite smile, Bond’s response to needing anything else cuts straight through the illusion of hospitality that defines him and Honey Ryder’s stay in Dr. No’s compound. The accommodations are luxurious with great service from Sister Lily, yet Bond never mistakes it for anything other than a well-furnished cage.

Scenes showing Bond’s interactions with underlings at a villain’s “lair” sometimes makes me laugh at the logistics of the operation. You start to wonder about the payroll and the staff handbook used to serve guests that are not meant to leave. Is Sister Lily a salaried employee?
