This deceptively simple line captures why Paloma became an instant standout in No Time to Die. In just a few minutes of screen time, she manages to blindside the audience into thinking she’s a naive new agent, but in reality the “three weeks” minimal training was enough to immediately prove herself as a capable agent. Which makes her limited role all the more frustrating. It’s an injustice that the filmmakers failed to capitalize on her momentum and give her more of the spotlight she clearly deserved. In my opinion, all scenes with Bond’s damn kid should’ve somehow been replaced with a Paloma scene.
