I’m hoping to see zero flashbacks or for that matter any direct reference to a previous James Bond movie in Bond 26. Not just for the sake of freshness, but for the sake of a new identity. I want Bond 26 to stand alone as an autonomous movie, whether set in the past or present, and the best way to guide its spotlight is to avoid references to the past.
A nod or a wink to some 007 quote or trope is acceptable, but flashing images of Craig, Vesper or god forbid Swann in the upcoming movie would put a horrible taste in my mouth.
