I’ve found myself reconsidering whether to call them Bond “movies” or “films,” especially after watching Calvin Dyson’s content and reading various Bond 26 speculation articles. A quick Google shows that while the terms are technically interchangeable, their usage often reflects regional preference. As an American, I naturally default to “movies,” whereas “films” tends to be more common in the UK.

It’s also stated that there’s a subtle distinction in tone of reference (which I’ve unknowingly followed) for each word. Specifically, “film” often carries a more artistic or prestige-oriented connotation that is typically associated with awards recognition, while “movies” can have a broader usage to anything from superhero blockbusters to slapstick comedies. For that reason, “Bond movies” feels more natural and fitting to me, and really, it’s just always how I’ve referred to them in my mind.

Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference, but I remain firmly in the Bond “movies” camp.
