Bond 26 producer Amy Pascal’s above comment makes me wince.
It has been more than 1,600 days since the world premiere of No Time to Die at the Royal Albert Hall, some four and a half years since Daniel Craig’s final appearance as Bond. At this rate, the current gap between movies will surpass the six-year hiatus between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye. But alas, we do have a (great) writer and a (great) director, so we can count our blessings. It’s just demoralizing to rewatch old Bond movies and try to comprehend how awesome a 2 or even 1 year James Bond movie gap would be like.
It could be done obviously, but for some reason Bond movie producers have no appetite for more frequent modern releases. It really is such a drag!
