Drax’s description of James Bond’s persistent appearance stands as one of the most memorably irritated villain lines ever and is a great example of one of Drax’s many aristocratic expressions. Funnily enough, the line is delivered with such precise disdain that one can almost hear Michael Lonsdale suppressing a private chuckle at its own extravagance.

But it’s absurd in the best possible way and perfectly exemplifies Drax’s cultivated sophistication and snobbery. The saying reveals a villain who experiences Bond not as a threat but more of an unavoidable nuisance that fundamentally threatens his sense of order.

When viewed through that lens, the description is not only clever but oddly relatable: the sudden arrival of an unwanted, lingering presence that disrupts one’s carefully curated world would, indeed, be profoundly irritating. The line succeeds not just as a quotable insult, but as a perfect distillation of Drax’s worldview.
