Bond’s admission to Kara in The Living Daylights is one of the movie’s most emotional scenes.  It’s a moment that strips away the usual composure and control associated with Bond and reveals his genuine vulnerability just as the chloral hydrate begins to take hold.  Kara’s gradual understanding of the truth paired with Bond’s desperate fight to stay conscious, highlights an instance of Dalton’s fallible Bond, even when he’s trying to protect another.
