Bond’s tryst with Countess Lisl in For Your Eyes Only feels like a force.  So Bond embraces Colombo’s setup and goes home with her, only for her to get hit by one of those weird four-wheeler off-road car thingies on the beach by Emile Locque and his goons the next morning.

So Colombo setup Bond with Lisl, it backfired, and his only reaction is that he has a heavy heart for his “poor Lisl”?  Maybe you shouldn’t have put her in harm’s way in the first place, Colombo!  I guess she was more than dispensable for him…
