Bond’s quick backgammon game with Kamal Khan in Octopussy reminds me of the game of gin where Bond manipulates Goldfinger’s play.  A simple, non-traditional game that Bond is shoehorned into playing/participating.  As for other card games – I’m pretty sure Bond plays solitaire (no, not the Live And Let Die one) in Dr. No as he patiently awaits Professor Dent.  All three are a hell of a lot better than the odd “video game” played in Never Say Never Again!
