It’s interesting that the public heard this tidbit about screen tests for the next James Bond actor.  I was a little surprised at the choice of GoldenEye, however, I can’t imagine it was the only previous Bond movie acted out.  I could see a dramatic Dalton scene or humorous Roger Moore scene used as well.

I get why they would screen test using old lines and scenes, but also think a new Bond should stand alone as himself.  Maybe rehearsing old lines is a bad sign for the actor’s prospects?
